What’s better than a South of the Border tasty treat? Not much. Tacos pack a wallop of flavor and can be healthy, too! BestBullySticks.com brings you Taco Treats via Yuki + Rocket for this week’s Drool Recipe! Let your dog savor this new favorite dog treat! Full recipe below!

Taco Shell

• 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup brown rice flour
• 1 tbsp ground flax
• 1 tsp vegetable oil
• chicken broth

Filling

• 1/4 cup finely shredded cheese
• 1/8 cup carrots, chopped very small
• 2 tbsp Italian parsley, chopped
• 1/2 cup lean ground beef, cooked, cooled and in small crumbles
• 1 large egg

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 F

2. Mix flour, brown rice flour, ground flax. Then mix in vegetable oil. Once you have incorporated the vegetable oil, slowly add chicken broth until the dough just begins to hold together. I would add chicken broth with a spoon, stir it, and then add more, spoon by spoon. Once you have added enough broth, knead dough until it becomes soft, 1-2 minutes. Shape dough into a disc, wrap with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.

3. While the dough is chilling, make the filling.

4. Mix finely shredded cheese, carrots, Italian parsley, and ground beef. Mix in the egg.

5. On a floured surface, roll out chilled dough, thinly. Cut out circular shapes.

6. Place a little filling on one side of the circle and flip the other side over. Read more

They simply take the dogs that need a helping hand, rehabilitate and then find responsible owners who will love these wonderful pups. When & Why did you start?
Anarchy Animal Rescue was founded in Dec of 2010 out of need and desires to help address two major animal crises in this country - unwanted adoptable pets and the mistreatment and abuse of animals due to puppy mills.  Our goal is to find good, loving homes for as many pets as we can take in, care for medically and place in responsible homes. After years of working in various animal shelters and fostering and volunteering with local rescue groups, we decided the time has come to do on our own what we do best—save lives! Every year millions of homeless adoptable pets are surrendered to kill shelters across the country. The majority of those animals are put to death due to overcrowding of these shelters. Overcrowding is caused by people purchasing animals from pet stores or breeders, and by not spaying or neutering their pets. Every time a person buys a pet or allows their pet to breed, perfectly adoptable dogs and cats are killed in a shelter. It is a vicious cycle and can only be stopped with education, outreach and adoption. If everyone adopted their pets from shelters or rescue groups, there would be less euthanasia in our city pounds. When shelters are overcrowded we are called in to help. By us taking shelter pets into our rescue, we open up cages so the shelters have room for other animals that are coming in resulting is fewer animals being put to sleep. Read more

There's nothing like a Mothers love. 

Recently there has been a lot question about the nature of playing the classic dog game tug-of-war. Some say it brings out aggressive tendencies in dogs, however BestBullySticks.com believes if you have a well-behaved dog that listens, tug-of-war is a great way to not only bond with your dog but also get your dog’s mind and body working. Here are a few ways to make sure tug is always a positive experience for you and your dog.

1. Teach your Dog to Listen
Before you play tug with your dog, make sure your dog can listen to commands. In particular, the “drop it” or “release” command is good for tug. This will help you stop the game easily if needed.

2. The Right Toy

3. Where To Play
The best places to play tug are open areas free of clutter. Playing outside is a great idea, too.
