After watching this episode, we really started to think about how much more training we need to do with our own two dogs (two pugs, one named "espy" and the other "sushi"). Bill and Star and Travis and Presley won the quick challenge by having their dog's rescue one of them from a box.In the main challenge owners and their dogs were tested by having to first acclimate their dog with 3 puppies and then have their dogs lead the puppies through a maze to a finish line. In our opinion, JD and Galaxy and Teresa and Leroy. Both of them led all three of the puppies out of the maze to "safety".
During the judging and throughout this episode there was a constant back and forth about training through positive reinforcement or training through fear. It became clear that the judges were also divided on this issue with Victoria championing "positive reinforcement" and Wendy suggesting that the way that JD trains is fine too. What do all of you think?
In the end, Bella Starlet and Beth Joy were voted off and it was fairly clear that they performed the worst in the main challenge. It is starting to wind down and we are excited to see the outcome!
