BestBullySticks is an online only retail store that specializes in natural and healthy dog and cat products.  Our name represents our main stay product "Bully Sticks", but we have over 1000 different products that provide for a healthy pet lifestyle.

Before we move into an exciting 2012 new year, it is always nice to reflect on the best of the last year.

So in keeping with an age old tradition lets look back at some of the highlights for BestBullySticks in 2011.

Best Bully Sticks moved it's corporate headquarters and warehouse in September  to a newer location in Richmond, Va.
The 2021 Admiral St location provides us with more effective space and the ability to process our customers orders more efficiently.

Throughout 2011 as well as in years past we have been able to donate to Dog Rescue / Charity Organizations throughout the country.  You can see a list here.  We also are providing for our local Richmond Va organizations through sponsorships and events with the RichmondSPCA, Fetch A Cure, Ring Dog Rescue and Richmond Animal League.

We have  opened up a Military Discount program to give back to our service men women and veterans. You can see more here.

We have expanded our Charity efforts to help promote organizations and give them the change to get much needed dog can cat supplies.

We have added many new products and opened up a Deal of The Week for deep discount items.  These deals move fast and are while supplies last, but are always a Deep Deep Discount!! You can find the deals of the week on the home page of our website.

But most of all in 2011, has been the interaction with our Loyal Customers.  Our Brand Ambassadors who have enjoyed our products, spread the word about our company and have made "work" not seem like work at all.  We appreciate and value your support and continue to thrive to improve our products, customer service, and your overall experience with BestBullySticks.

It's almost time to ring in the New Year! As we count down to the New Year its time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. With a little bit of "puparation" you and your pet can look forward to 2012. Because nothing spoils the festivities like a sick or runaway pet.  Here are a few New Year's Eve pet safety tips to keep your pet out of danger and ensure your pet does not get lost while the ball drops . Let the celebrations begin and the good times roll!

1. Be observant of your animal’s response to loud noises. Thunderstorms and fireworks are the best known causes for pet anxiety, but celebration party favors and popping champagne corks can be just as traumatizing. If you are hosting a New Years Party, make sure your pets are placed in a comfortable area that is separate from the activities. Make sure they have plenty of water and are comfortable. When possible, refrain from keeping them outside, as fireworks and other neighbors celebrating can lead to the same ruckus and worry.

2. Always keep your pet’s tags on. In the case they do get spooked and bolt for an open door or gate, an ID tag will be imperative to getting them home safely.

3. Beware of alcohol! Many pets can be drawn to glasses of beer or liquor that has been left behind after the celebration is over. Consumption of alcohol can be highly dangerous for animals, and even deadly. Make sure to thoroughly clean up the area before you allow your pets to enter. Always keep a close eye on them, and never give them any alcohol as a treat or joke.

4. Be aware of party decorations. Balloons, streamers, party hats or confetti can be unhealthy for an animal if ingested. While decorating for your party, keep the animals in a separate area where they do not have access to the decorations. If they do get into them, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Feed your dog the breakfast of champions...no we are not talking about Wheaties! A healthy and hearty bowl of oatmeal is a great source of fiber and the perfect grain for dogs with allergies. What makes your dog go crazy for this recipe is the banana's and peanut butter. Go ahead dish up!

Ingredients:

2 single-serving packets of plain instant oatmeal
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/2 banana, chopped
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Prepare the oatmeal in a bowl according to package instructions. While it's hot, stir in the peanut butter and banana. Top with the yogurt, then drizzle with the honey.
