Plato Dog Treats

Plato makes some of the finest dog treats on the market today. All of their treats are made in the US and the chicken dog treats are certified organic. Finding dog treats that are made in the US is becoming an increasing rarity and it is always nice to offer something that is made under the scrutiny of the US government.

Plato dog treats currently come in four varieties, however, they are planning on bringing out some new products out soon! The dog treats that are currently available are Kangaroo, Duck, Chicken, and Salmon; all of which have over 90% of the meat ingredient in them. The chicken, duck, and salmon varieties come in 2 sizes with the Kangaroo only coming in one.

The duck and salmon treats are particularly good for dogs with allergies as they are both considered hypo-allergenic meats. Kangaroo is widely considered the most hypo-allergenic meat for dogs, so if you have a dog with a sensitive stomach please consider these. Also, don't worry about the source of the kangaroo as it is from free range kangaroos that are naturally culled from the population; without culling the population kangaroo's would become too populous!

Plato is also introducing an excellent salmon oil for dogs and cats which we will be carrying on the site within the next few weeks. This oil is a 100% natural product and is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals particularly the Omega 3's and 6's. We are sure that this will make a great addition to an already high quality assortment of products from Plato.

Trachea Chips

We are introducing a new dog chew called the "Trachea Chip"! These are flattened out pieces of our beef trachea's that are baked into a chip. The trachea chips are approximately a 4" by 4" square piece of beef trachea. This unique size and shape make them last quite a while. We would say that these last about the same amount of time as a pig or cow's ear for comparisons sake.

Remember that Beef Trachea are an excellent source of both glucosamine and chondroitin for your dog's joint health. We are positive that these new trachea chips are sure to be a winner in the dog chew market! Please also keep our other trachea dog treats in mind as well (Hollow Trachea-great for stuffing with ice cream or peanut butter, Stuffed Trachea-stuffed with brown rice and bully stick bits, and now the Trachea Chip).

Zukes All Natural Dog Treats

We just started to carry the Zuke's brand of dog treats and have found a great customer response and reaction to the product already!  Zuke's are all natural and made in the US which is becoming rarer and rarer these days.  We have started our offering by bringing in the Mini Natural's and the Hip Action dog treats.  Both of these treats are excellent training treats which can be used in the field with ease. 

 The Zuke's Mini Natural are cylindrical shaped treats that are about 3/8" in length and height.  We carry these in both the salmon and peanut butter variety.  The Zuke's Hip Action treats are rectangles that are about 1" in length and width.  We carry these treats in the beef and peanut butter flavors.  These are great because they have a measured amount of both Glucosamine and Chondroitin infused into the product.  Both of these substances are great at maintaining and improving joint health and mobility.  The beef trachea that we carry on the site are also a great way to utilize the raw form of Glucosamine and Chondroitin!

Himalayan Dog Chews

Many of you have probably already noticed the addition of this product to our site and I wanted to tell you a little more about the product and why we have chosen to add it to our line-up of all natural dog treats and chews.

The Himalayan Dog Chew is a long lasting chew that comes in three sizes small, medium, and large. We would recommend the small size for toy breeds like Pugs, Pomeranian, Shitzu, etc....the medium size for beagles, terriers, poodles, etc... and lastly the large size for boxers, labs, and retrievers.The chews are made from boiling yak and cow milk, with lime juice added to separate the curds. Once separated, the remaining cheese is dried (a process taking about three weeks) and then cut into pieces for the chews. This treat is high in protein and is all natural, having no additives or preservatives, and the finished product is just simply put, a very hard block of cheese.

This chew requires dogs to work and grind on it consistently to have small flakes and pieces come off to be eaten. Our experience is that these chews are very long lasting and are a great addition to bully sticks, other natural chews, and Antlerz. Dog Treats For Raw Food Diets

Raw feeding is becoming more and more popular as dog owners try to get their dogs back to their natural diet, and I wanted to point out some treats and chews that I think compliment raw feeding well.

Baa-Baa Q's

Baa-Baa-Q's are dried lamb lungs and are a great treat for dogs on a raw food diet because they are 100% natural and they are organ meat. Baa-Baa Q's are especially great for older dogs as they break down quickly as saliva is introduced to them. I give these routinely as supplemental treats to my own raw feeding program.

All Natural Dog Chews

All of the natural chews that we offer on best bully sticks like beef trachea, tendons, and bully sticks. All of these treats are all natural, high in protein, and some like the trachea have the added health benefit of naturally occurring glucosamine for joint health.
