Drum roll please.... Introducing Fizzion Pet Stain and Odor Remover.

F_bottleWe all know what it likes when your four legged prince or princess makes a royal mess. We are excited to bring to you a new "earth" friendly cleaner that is great for not only spills, but for those not so pleasant pet related stains.

Developed as a heavyweight commercial cleaner, FiZZiON’s powerful CO2 action unlocks and cleans stains and odors on contact. Other cleaners add harsh chemicals or foreign bacteria to clean. Not FiZZiON. Its unique formula uses non-toxic ingredients and kills odor-causing bacteria naturally by breaking down and destroying their cell walls

Designed with the Earth in mind, Fizzion is SAFE, green, clean, and earthly-friendly for you, your family, and your pets. Their breakthrough eco-friendly formula was designed with great care to keep our earth healthy.

Despite being one of the greenest cleaners you can buy, Fizzion still outperforms most of the cleaners on the market due to the stain fighting power of CO2. All you have to do is fill the bottle with warm tap water and add one of the Fizzion tablets. Then, you are ready to go.

Pampered Pooches: Expensive Dog Excessories

There's a certain satisfaction in eating at a nice dining room table. It makes you feel sophisticated, cultured, and human. My dog eats out of a simple plastic bowl I picked up at the local pet store for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that he's a dog. I can understand having a dog bowl that's raised a bit for taller dogs that have a hard time really leaning down as they get older, but spending $129 on said dog bowl seems a bit…excessive.  Your dog certainly isn't going to notice the difference, and when it really comes down to it, it's not like you're placing filet mignon in there for them either.  I know we like to personify our pets, but having their eating arrangements outstrip our own seems more like putting them in the Trump Towers while we're scraping by in a studio apartment.

Dog CarrierYour Dog Travels Better Than You Do

Not that I've ever flown first class, but even when I'm flying in the back of the plane, I expect a certain level of service (at least I used to).  With that in mind, it confuses me that some people would spend more on a carrier for their dog than most of us spend on plane tickets…to Europe.  $690 might seem a bit excessive for a dog carrier to you, but you have to remember that this particular one is made from leather, has numerous flaps for their dog treats, and is stylish beyond measure.  This bag screams "my dog lives better than I do" to anybody that sees the two of you together.  Sure you're driving around in a minivan that's older than your kids, but as far as your dog is concerned, he's in a Bentley the entire time.

Dog Mink CoatYour Dog Dresses Better Than You Do

I want my dog to look good.  This usually means regular grooming, getting his nails clipped, and brushing him.  This does not include buying my dog a mink coat.  Yes…you read that correctly.  People have been known to buy their dogs mink coats.  I don't own a mink coat.  I don't even own anything approaching a mink coat in my closet.  The idea of a mink coat for dogs is strange since dogs are, at least typically, covered in fur.  And yet, for only $70, you too can get your dog a pink mink coat that will confirm that you love your dog more than you love yourself.

Like I've said, we all love to pamper our dogs, but there comes a certain point when all of us have to be careful about crossing over into excess.  Dogs don't care about mink coats and $300 beds. They want bully sticks, lamb treats for dogs, and somebody to scratch their bellies.  Keep that in mind the next time you see that diamond encrusted dog collar that you've been wanting to buy your dog.

Five Tricks to Teach Your Dog

There's nothing cuter than a dog doing tricks.  While some dogs are easier to train than others (depending on breed and simple intelligence), here are a handful of tricks that you can teach your dog with a little patience but little effort.

Sit/Lay Down

Arguably the basis for any other trick you'll ask your dog to learn, teaching your dog to sit and lay down is probably one of the easier tricks to teach as it is something they'll do on their own without a command.  While there are numerous ways to teach your dog to do either, the two easier ways are to reward them when they perform the action you desire (saying "sit" or "lay down" as they do it on their own and rewarding them with a dog treat), or to use a dog treat as a focus point to maneuver them to the position you want.

To teach your dog to sit in this manner, simply hold a dog treat in your hand and very gently offer it to them while moving your hand towards them, applying pressure to their hindquarters, and saying "sit."  With a little patience, and some treats, your dog should quickly learn to sit on command.  From there, to teach them to lie down, simply have them sit, and use a treat to lure them to the ground while saying "lay down."  With these two commands learned, you have the basis for every other trick you'll want to teach your dog.

Shake Hands

Courtesy is key to dogs as well as humans, and having a dog that can shake hands is a great way to present your dog as a refined dog, just like their owner.  Start by having your dog sit.  Say "shake" or "shake hands" (whichever command you prefer), and take hold of his paw with your hand.  While holding your dog's paw, praise them both verbally and with a dog treat before releasing their paw.  Do this a few times a day and before long they will raise their paw at the command without you having to take their paw.

Roll Over

Start by giving your dog the "lay down" command.  Either standing over your dog or kneeling beside him, hold a dog treat by their nose and slowly move it around and behind him so that he follows it by rolling over, all while giving the command to "roll over."  This trick may take some time as some dogs are less eager to expose their bellies than others, but keep at it and always practice on a soft surface to make it easier on their back.

Play Dead

Nearly every TV or cartoon dog plays dead and the consensus is that it's adorable.  To teach your dog this trick, have them lie down on their belly, then gently roll them onto their back while giving the command to "Play Dead."  Have them keep this position until you give the release command, something like "wake up!" and then give them a dog treat to reward them and encourage the behavior.  Much like the "roll over" command, this trick may take some time as some dogs are hesitant to expose their bellies.

Give Kisses

This trick is easy.  Every time your dog licks your face say "Give Me a Kiss."  If your dog isn't a licker, put a little peanut butter on your cheek and give the command as he licks it off and then again after he has done so.  This trick almost doesn't require a treat since the peanut butter will be treat enough for most dogs.

Think Up Your Own

This is by no means a comprehensive list of tricks to teach your dog.  There are many other tricks, such as "high five," "fetch," and "stay" that you can teach your dog, not to mention something quirky that your dog may do on their own that you find adorable.  Remember to be patient and keep in mind that not all dogs are willing to learn all tricks.  Find ones that your dog is eager to perform and get those down before trying new ones that they are less willing to perform.

Picking the Right Dog Chews and Treats for Your Pets

With all of the options available for dog chews and treats both online and at your local pet store, it's hard to know which one is your best option. Which one will your dog not only enjoy, but will be healthy for them at the same time. It's not unlike picking out an afternoon snack for a small child. In light of the recent pet food recalls, many pet owners have turned to bully sticks as an all natural treat for their dogs. But not all bully sticks are created the same. Here are some things to keep in mind when picking out a bully stick for your dog.

There is a Difference in Quality

Bully sticks are made out of beef, and like all meat from cattle, there is a difference in the quality of the beef. The better the cattle are raised, the better the quality of the product from those cattle. Choosing bully sticks that come from quality, free-ranging cattle, like those raised in Brazil and other parts of South America, creates a superior bully stick than those produced in countries like India, China, and even the US.

Where They're Raised Matters

Cattle raised in countries like India, China, and the US are often raised in feedlots, where they are given antibiotics to stave off disease, and hormones to increase their growth at an unnatural rate. Cattle from these locations are also used to create bully sticks and other dog treats and chews. However, most of the cattle raised in Brazil and other parts of South America are free-ranging cattle, and the bully sticks created from them isn't subjected to the same hormones and antibiotics as those from the US, India, and China.

In addition to being the leading supplier of cattle raised in a free-ranging environment, Brazil and the rest of South America have been recognized as the world's number one source of "Green Cattle" for years. The bully sticks, and other all natural dog treats and chews, created from these cattle are much healthier for you dogs.

Recalls Are a Factor

When the pet recalls swept through the US, many people turned to bully sticks because they were lead to believe that there were no recalls associated with the treat. This is only half true. While bully sticks, and really all treats and chews for dogs, from those cattle that are raised free-range like those in South America were free from the sweeping pet recalls, those created from cattle raised in the US, India, and China were still subject to the same pet recalls that caused panic amongst pet owners.

Do the Research

The best advice for finding the perfect all natural dog treats and bully sticks for your dog is to do some research. If you're buying from a store, look at the label and see where it comes from. If you're buying from an online retailer read their product description to see if they list where their bully sticks come from. If they don't, contact the company and ask them. Don't settle for less when it comes to picking out a bully stick for your dogs.
