Weekly Drool Recipes

Thanksgiving has gone to the dogs! Treat your loyal canine to a delicious & homemade Thanksgiving dog treat. Your deserving dog is sure to gobble up these treats.

Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground turkey
2 eggs
2 cups cooked rice
8 oz. peas
3 carrots, diced
1 apple, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well by hand. On baking sheet, form into the shape of a large dog bone. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool and serve.

It's that time! Time to plan for Thanksgiving. The family is all gathered around the table and they are ready to feast...Don't leave fido out! Check out this great recipe they will love to gobble up!

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup shredded roasted turkey meat
• 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1/2 sweet potato—baked, skin discarded and potato coarsely chopped
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a medium bowl, combine the turkey and breadcrumbs. Mix gently with your hands, then mix in the egg and sweet potato. Shape into two 1/2-inch-thick patties.
2. In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook, turning once, until golden-brown, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Top with the cranberry sauce and let your canine enjoy!

With all the treats being handed out this Halloween we can't forget fido. So gather the following ingredients and make fido a spooky and delicious meal made especially for them.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
• 2 carrots, grated
• 1 cup cooked shredded rotisserie chicken
• 3 black mission figs, chopped
• 1 pinch ground cinnamon
• 2 cups chicken broth or water
• 1 cup cooked brown rice

PREPARATION

In a deep, medium skillet, heat the EVOO, 1 turn of the pan, over medium-high heat. Add the carrots and cook until slightly softened, 3-4 minutes. Add the chicken, figs and cinnamon and toss. Stir in half of the chicken broth, then the rice and warm through, 3-4 minutes. Stir in more broth, as needed, to make a slightly soupy mixture.

Serves 2 Dogs

Ingredients

What better way to celebrate Fall then with a delicious, healthy and seasonal pumpkin dog treat recipe! This Pup'kin Pumpkin dog biscuit recipe is sure to get tails wagging. Baking just got easier!

Ingredients (serving size 36)

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°. In a bowl, stir together the eggs, pumpkin puree, milk powder and flour; add 2 tsp. water, or enough so that the dough just comes together.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with 1-inch cookie cutters. Gather the scraps, combine, roll and form more biscuits; repeat until all the dough is used.
3. Place the biscuits 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, then turn over and bake until hardened, another 20 minutes. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes.
