Best Bully Sticks Rescue & Shelter $1 Donation Program is a Success!
Thanks to the generous donations of Best Bully Stick customers $750 was raised last month and Best Bully Stick matched dollar for dollar for a grand total of $1500 to be given away to 3 lucky animal shelter & rescues ($500 each).
How to Nominate a Rescue or Shelter
Do you have a favorite dog & animal rescue or shelter? Well we want to know about them & reward them. Please leave a comment below nominating your favorite animal shelter/ rescue (Nomination week runs: 7/26/10 - 8/1/10) . Once all the nominations are in then we will have final voting where the top 10 rescue/shelters with the most nominations will be entered for the opportunity to win $500 for their rescue or shelter. You will then be able to vote on the top 10 nominated rescues & shelters for a period of one week (Final Voting week runs: 8/2/10 – 8/4/10) and at the end of the week the 3 rescues or shelters with the most votes will win $500 each. We will also give 2 runner ups not selected for the $500 prize 100 6" thin bully sticks toward their rescue & shelter.
PRIZES:
* 3 rescues or shelters will win $500 each from the grand prize of $1500
* 2 runner ups will receive 100 6" bully sticks for their rescue or shelter
To nominate your favorite dog rescue simply comment below.
Also You may only nominate 1 time, however you can campaign on behalf of your favorite animal shelter or rescue by tweeting, posting on Facebook, and telling your friends to nominate as well.

Question: Why do we have a nomination round and then a final voting round? In addition to getting the top voted $500 each we want to draw much needed attention to all wonderful rescues around country >> hence 1 week of nominations & 1 week of Final voting on the top 10 with the most nominations. Then the top 3 with the most votes win.
What if your pet rescue/shelter didn't get the most votes and win? Have no fear we will be holding this giveaway every month with the money earned from our Best Bully Sticks Rescue Shelter $1 Donation Program (we match every dollar) ! I would to nominate ADOPT Pet Shelter in Naperville, IL. Besides providing great loving care for their pets and screened adoptions they also provide an in-house spay/neuter clinic for ADOPT’s animals and for other shelters. They reciently began offering this service to low income families for a nominal cost.

I nominate New Rattitude. This rescue group is a young 2 years old and has rescued 500 rat terriers!!!
I nominate New Rattitude Rat Terrier Rescue! As an active volunteer and Foster Parent for this organization, I can not say enough positive things about how much this young rescue has accomplished in just two short years. In 2 years, we have saved 500 dogs. That’s 500 Rat Terrier/Rat Terrier Mixes that would have been euthanized had we not stepped in and given these dogs a “New Rattitude!” We have several dogs in our Canine Clinic that could really use the extra funds that would be raised by this contest. Please consider New Rattitude as we, and the dogs, really need your support!

I would like to nominate TFT Toy Fox Terrier Rescue. They are a wonderful group of folks, founded on pure love for the dogs. They do not discriminate if they have an urgent non-TFT that needs immediate protection. Amazing rescue group!

New Rattitude takes in most of the dogs from certain death at animal shelters and even takes in dogs who need extra medical or behavioral rehabilitation. New Rattitude could further benefit those dogs with special needs by winning the Best Bully’s prize.

I nominate New Rattitude Rat Terrier Rescue. We save rat terriers for horrible conditions and find them wonderful forever homes.
I am a volunteer with New Rattitude. The biggest impact we make is on the dogs, but we also try to make inroads with our adopters by educating them about overpopulation, heart worm disease, positive training, safety, health, and other issues involved with keeping a pet. We fully disclose the history of our rescues (if we know it) and sometimes that means a particular family finds they are not a good match for a certain dog. We help them find a great match–not just a good one. This makes me very proud of our work because I want the dogs to find permanent, stable placements. Due to our commitment to education and support of new adopters, we rarely have a dog returned–but we are always willing to take them back.
I nominate New Rattitude Rat Terrier Rescue!!N R is a young nationwide group who are committed to rescuing abandoned Rat Terriers, some who have been broken in body and spirit. With loving care, they are healed and moved on to lead new lives with devoted adopters. I nominate Toy Fox Terrier Rescue. We rescue Toy Fox Terriers around the States and find them loving homes. These funds are sorely needed as we just rescued 8 TFTs from a Puppy Mill in MO. We also just took in a stray in OH that can’t close her mouth all the way and most certainly needs jaw surgery. These funds will go a long way for our Rare but precious breed.
