I would like to nominate A.D.O.P.T in Napeville, IL.
Denver Samoyed Rescue
I truly can’t think of a more worthy animal shelter to win this wonderful “gift” than the Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY. Run by only FOUR VOLUNTEERS, these ladies pay for everything out of their own pocket (vet care, food, litter, you name it), along with whatever donations they’re blessed to receive. I heartily nominate them to be one of the three recipients of your VERY generous gift. Thank you for ALL that you do to help so many :}
I nominate Animal Placement Bureau (APB) for the extremely hard work they do of rescuing dogs from shelters who would have been handed over to class B dealers for research or being gassing to death in a metal box, with many other terrified animals. They take dogs from many different places. Foster parent/s care for the dogs as well as socialize them and basic commands, housebreak, etc. Adoptions occur through an application process, reference checks and home visit. APB is totally run by volunteers. They are my rescue of choice as they will do just about anything to help a dog in need! Blessings to APB volunteers!
One of my favorite rescue groups!! They deserve to win!
I think the most awesome animal shelter to win this wonderful “gift” would be Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY. FOUR VOLUNTEERS run it pretty much on their own; these ladies pay for everything out of their own pocket (vet care, food, litter, you name it), along with whatever donations happen to come in from folks who have some extra money. I most certainly would like to nominate them to win this generous gift. I also thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving to help so many rescued animals.
I nomitate Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue of Denver, CO as my favorite rescue. Ho-Bo Care has been rescuing and rehabilitating bully breeds for over 40 years – all on a shoestring budget.
I would like to nominate the Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY. They are such a worthy animal shelter to win this wonderful “gift” as the shelter is run by only FOUR VOLUNTEERS, these ladies pay for everything out of their own pocket (vet care, food, litter, you name it), along with whatever donations they receive. I nominate them to be one of the three recipients of your kind and generous gift. Thank you!
I nominate Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield KY. The voluteers (only four) see every animal as deserving a life in a forever home and work tirelessly to find each one their place. Sometimes it takes years but they don’t give up on the animals and believe there is a place for everyone of them. They rely totally on donations (often out of their own pockets) to keep the shelter open so this gift from Best Bully Sticks would be a god send. They strive to provide the much needed education on spay / neuter to their local population. They have well deserved supporters literally around the world.
Thanks for the opportunity,
Lynda Joyce
I nominate Carolina Care Bullies:

The Best Bully Sticks Rescue Shelter $1 Donation Program is a HUGE SUCCESS!
We know our customers have great hearts, but when we started our Rescue Program in June/July 2010, we didn’t know how it would go….Now, at the end of the year, the final tally is in and it is amazing. In just 6 months, you, our generous customers, have donated $4,400 to the program, one dollar at a time. We have matched your donations dollar for dollar, for a grand total of $8,800!
Throughout the United States, every single dollar has gone to worthy rescues and humane causes. We’re going to continue our Rescue Program in 2011, we have a grand goal: donating $20,000 to rescues! With your loving support and generous donations we can reach our goal & save lives!
Thanks customers, paw pals, rescues & shelters for all you do. You are greatly appreciated!
I would like to nominate the Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY.
I would like to nominate Sharon Nelson’s NADAC Rescue! The lives of many dogs in shelters have been saved and new homes found by these folks. They go to “Kill” shelters and bring back the dogs that are about to be put down. Sharon and her crew also rescue dogs from animal hoarders and feral dogs that are reported to them. They are wonderful people, and could really use the $$!
I’d like to nominate Ohio Pug Rescue for the giveaway. We hold pugfair every year to raise money for this organization and they are the best bunch of folks fostering and adopting out many pugs each year and so deserving!
I nominate Indiana Bulldog Rescue, Inc! http://www.indianabulldogrescue.com | http://www.facebook.com/indianabulldogrescue.com
I nominate The Bull Terrier Club of Tampa Bay. They are a 501C who rescues needy bull terriers throughout Florida and the Southeast US. They work very hard on a shoestring budget and could do more with more funding. Please consider this fine rescue!

HRI’s mission is to rescue purebred Havanese and Havanese mixes which are homeless or soon-to-be-homeless, including those found in animal shelters or similar facilities and those relinquished by their owners. The dogs are provided with the attention, care and medical treatment necessary including spay/neutering. HRI also focuses on education of the public regarding puppy mills and responsible dog ownership including spay/neutering, training and humane care of Havanese and other pets. See http://www.havaneserescue.com for more info.
I would like to nominate Grayson County Humane Society. The shelter is run by four volunteers. They pay for everything from their own pockets and by donations. The volunteers drive thousands of miles a year to save the shelter animals. I can’t think of a more worthy shelter to receive this gift.
I nominate Rat Terrier ResQ of Arkadelphia, AR for the Bully Sticks Giveaway.
I’m nominating Darlington County Humane Society in Darlington, SC.
I nominate Rat Terrier ResQ! We had the most wonderful opportunity to adopt 2 special needs Rat Terriers who have brought so much love and light into our lives.
Both Cally and Shammy are special alright but we were the ones in need.
They love us uncondionally and even though they both suffer from blindness, they see through the dark and bring a light in our lives that makes our house a home.
I never imagined how much love that two dogs could bring into our lives, but they shine and show us that even though they endure a hardship that made them ‘unadoptable’ we took a chance and were adopted by them
RatTerrier ResQ In Arkansas is worthy of this prize. They take in a lot of dogs and bring them and the people that need the love of these pups together!
I nominate them for this prize!
Indiana Bulldog Rescue is a great rescue
I vote for Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue in Denver, CO.
I would like to nominate Hobocare boxer rescue in Denver Colorado
Vizsla Rescue Haven
I nominate the best bully rescue ever! Illinois English Bulldog Rescue!
WAG or we adopt greyhounds
Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue is the best rescue ever! I adopted my first rescue from them in 1999 and I now have three more. I’ve volunteered for them as well and it is the best group of volunteers I’ve ever worked with.
This rescue takes in Catahoula-type dogs and gives them shelter and vetting and lots of kindness until they find their homes. Though she works full time, she devotes all of her free time making life better for so many animals. She would cry if she won.
I nominate “Catahoula-Rescue Ontario”. The rescue’s email address is gbaggs@rogers.com
I would like to nominate the Illinois English Bulldog Rescue. They recently rescued 19 bulldogs over the Thanksgiving weekend from a puppy mill in Missouri. They obviously reach beyond state lines to truly do what is best for these sweet creatures. I follow the work they do online and its truly heartwarming how they nurture animals and people alike. They change people by helping animals. By saving bulldogs they are able to then find people that need them in their lives. They truly deserve this money to help continue their fantastic work.
I nominate Illinois English Bulldog Rescue as the best Rescue organization. They deserve and need the $3,000 prize to continue on with the wonderful work they do!
I would like to nominate Magnificent Mutts in Elmhurst Il. http://www.magnificentmutts.org.
Pls add Grayson County Humane Society to the list.
Most awesome HS I have ever come across, run entirely by volunteers who often pay the bills out of their own pocket.
HoBo Care Boxer Rescue in Denver!
I recomend Ratbone rescues, they are very caring and help a lot of dogs. They take in the weak, sick and old, very good group
I nominate Illinois English Bulldog Rescue. Their work with the rescue of 25 bulldogs from the Missouri puppy mill on Black Friday was GREAT work. All of these dogs are in need of medical attention and the group is in need of the $$$ to take care of them.
I would like to vote for the Illinois English Bulldog rescue. They took in 19 bulldogs over Thanksgiving weekend and are very deserving as well as very much in need of extra funding to help with the care of these precious pups. Thanks for sharing the love and helping to give these amazing animals a second chance at a warm, loving life
I nominate “Furry Friends Rescue”, Fremont, CA.
http://www.FurryFriendsRescue.org
They are awesome and save about 1000 dogs & cats per year,
help many shelters in No. California via their website
and home foster year round over 150 dogs & cats of all ages, breed types and special medical needs. They usually come thru when no one else can for many dogs & under-age kittens on death-row at shelters. They need the funds to support their rescue dogs & cats vet and boarding bills.
I would like to nominate Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY. They strive to do so much with a handful of volunteers and survive strictly on donations. They are an incredible group of caring, dedicated people.
I’d like to nominate Grayson County Humane Society in Leitchfield, KY. The shelter is run by four volunteers who work tirelessly to find homes for all the animals. They pay for supplies, vet bills, etc, out of their own pockets with help from donations. They have driven thousands of miles to get animals to their forever homes. I will always be greatful for the two lovelies I adopted from them.
I want to nominate the Southwestern PA Pugs with Special Needs in Pittsburgh PA. They take in the pugs that aren’t as cute anymore (although I believe all of them are beautiful!), have issues, and need the most help. I have a soft spot for older pugs and pugs that need the most help.
I want to nominate Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue in Denver Co. They will do anything to help their Lil Angels! .The love they have to give to each and every one they have rescue. Thank you Ho-Bo Care
