Weekly Drool Recipe: Beef-Glazed Green Bean Treats

“Psst! Hey, you want some?” We dog lovers have all spoken these words and treated our pups to a little treat here and there. Would we be loving puppy parents if we didn’t? However, Best Bully Sticks knows that not all snacking is good snacking! That sole reason is why our company is dedicated to all-natural dog treats. But even then, doggy mom’s and dad’s take “treating” your dog too far. In fact, 23% to 41% of dogs are overweight with about 5.1% being obese. If your vet tells you to stop feeding any excess food to your dog in an emergency effort to help loose weight, you should absolutely do so. However, if your dog is just a little pudgy and needs to loose a few pounds, we suggest baking up a quick batch of these treats for your pup!

Beef-Glazed Green Bean Treats are loaded with nutritious things your dog needs. They don’t help your dog loose weight, but they do give a great, healthy alternative that will help Fido feel spoiled while not adding on extra pounds.

Ingredients
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, low or fat free

3 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour

1/2 cup green beans, mashed (see note below)

1 cup beef broth, reduced sodium, plus 1/4 cup for glaze

1/4 cup milk, low or fat free

Weekly Drool Recipe: Chock Full Of Cheese Cookies!

Best Bully Sticks says, “Pass The Cheese, Please!” with these yummy, sure-to-please cheese cookies for your dog. We like to call them Chock Full Of Cheese Cookies, and they really are just that. These treats have parmesan and cheddar cheese baked into a cookie. There’s even a cream cheese and peanut butter filling for the inside if that’s not enough!

Cheese is loaded with protein and calcium, both of which are great for your dog. However, cheese can also be very rich. We recommend giving these to a very active dog or limiting the intake of these treats. Also, if your dog has trouble processing dairy, you can substitute cheese ingredients with almond, soy or tofu cheese. Best Bully Sticks hopes your pooch enjoys these hearty snacks!

Cookie Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
2/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
